Dr. Nancy Peterson
Nancy joined the Zion staff in May 2011. She serves as organist and organizes the music program, coordinating the senior choir, hand chimes, confirmation music, and instrumental ensembles. She also serves as director of Zion Music Academy.
Nancy holds a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in organ performance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a Master’s degree in organ performance from Washington State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in piano and organ performance from Washington State University.
She has won several national organ playing competitions and keeps an active schedule as an organ performer. Recent performances include appearing on the “King of Instruments” podcast and recitals or hymn festivals at numerous St. Louis area churches.
Nancy is a homeschooling mom of ten and has directed the choirs of the Saint Clair County Christian Home Educators for many years.
